RIDES:
August 7, 2010
Start time: 8:45AM stretching. Rolling at 9AM.
Where: Innersport- 1250 Addison St. Suite 102, Berkeley
Option 1: 45 miles. Bay Area Classics from Innersport. This ride will take you through some bay area classics such as Tunnel, Pinehurst, Happy Valley, Papa Bear, and Wildcat. There’s definitely some good climbing here so if you have not been doing moderate hilly rides, you may choose to do the second option. We will start at Innersport (the map here shows a different start/stop location.)
Option #2: 33 miles. Moraga Ride from Innersport
This is one of my favorite rides from Innersport. There’s some good climbing and nice pavements. You will ride classic climbs like Spruce, Pinehurst, and Grizzly Peak.
July 17th, 2010 BBG Kick-off Ride! 8:45 Dynamic Warm-up and meeting. Ready to roll by 9:00.
We’ll meet at Pleasant Hill Bart for the start of 2 rides- one hilly and one flat, with both rides meeting at Chow for lunch before we head back to Pleasant Hill Bart. On the ride back down Danville Blvd and on the Ironhorse trail back to the bart station, we can work on handling and bumping skills.
Flat Ride: Kim will be riding and designing the flat ride which will be between 25-30 miles or so. This ride will be great for those just getting back on the bike, those who want to work on recovery, or those needing to work on bike handling skills. This is a good opportunity for those not used to cycling in groups.
Hilly Ride: For those of you wanting a little climbing, a fast decent, and a nice FLAT and FAST ride back to Pleasant Hill Bart, this ride is for you. Climb up Mt. Diablo via North Gate, to the ranger station, over the saddle, down South Gate and to Peets/Chow in Danville.
July 24th, 2010 8:45 Dynamic Warm-up, READY to ride at 9AM sharp!
Ride led by Laura Bray of Transition Fitness, provider of training/rehab and ART in SF and Marin.
Meet at: Mike’s Bikes in Sausalito (#1 Gate 6 Rd.
Sausalito, CA 94965 at the start of the Mill Valley-Sausalito Bike Path)
Paradise Loop! This is a scenic, fun ride with moderate climbs. Total mileage is about 31 miles long.
